How the Process Works:
01
Initial Contact / Intake:
Reach out via contact form, email, or phone to request an evaluation. We will gather preliminary information about your immigration case and needs.
02
Two Sessions (1.5 hours each):
Over about two weeks, we do two 90-minute sessions to gather information: personal history, trauma history, psychological symptoms, social/emotional context, and how immigration issues have affected mental health.
03
Report Writing:
I prepare a detailed 8–12 page clinical report (depending on complexity) that documents findings, trauma history, current mental health state, and relevant psychological impacts tied to your immigration claim.
04
Draft Review:
Draft sent to your attorney for review & any requested minor adjustments.
05
Final Report Delivery:
Once approved, the final report is delivered for use in your immigration case.
Turnaround & Payment:
Standard price: $1,100 per evaluation includes both sessions + final report.
Reduced fee or payment plans available if needed (depending on circumstances).
Payment required in full before final report delivery.
Why Psychological Evaluations Matter
A well-prepared psychological evaluation offers more than a story it provides documented evidence that legal authorities take seriously.
For hardship waivers (like I-601, I-601A, etc.), courts or immigration authorities require evidence that the separation or removal of a loved one would cause “extreme hardship.”
Evaluations highlight not just emotional suffering, but functional impairment — how mental health impacts daily life, family stability, and ability to adapt.
For asylum, VAWA, U- or T-visas, or abuse-related cases, documenting trauma, PTSD, depression, or fear is often critical. N
A thorough, trauma-informed evaluation can mean the difference between a “maybe” and a “yes.”
